I have been finding all of these wonderful sewing project ideas on other blogs. I thought I would pull out my sewing machine and give them a try. I went to the craft store to pick out some fabric and now I am all set to go.
I have three projects in mind: The Camera Strap Cover-From Cluck Cluck Sew, The Sandwich Wrap and Placemat-From Frugal Family Fun Blog, and some Alphabet bean bags for my little man.

Great fabrics!
I SOOOO wish that I could sew. I like the thought of sewing, just not so much actually doing it. :)
My husband is great - all those years of sewing on his own patches. I almost always make him do the work when I get an idea in my head.
I can sew a little, but I always need him around for technical assistance (ie. the bobbin running out). I also always seem to push the pedal too slow and then way too fast and I can't keep a straight line very well. I have given up for now.... maybe when I'm old and gray. :) Good luck on your projects!!
Oh wow!! I can't wait to see what you make! You must be so excited! And I am drooling over all the beautiful fabric. And I was super-happy to see that you have one of my projects in mind!! Hooray!!!! That just made my day! :-)
Still learing myself Jennifer:) It is funny when you said you need your husband around....I called my husband in a couple of times yesterday to help me. I haven't sewed in a while. However, I am excited about these projects and thanks for the good luch wishes!
Valerie, Your project is so great. Not only is it useful but eco friendly as well! I passed the link on to my friend and she is going to use it with her Keepers of the Faith group:)
